CRN LAUNCHES 134th HULL May 09, 2015

Ancona, 9 May 2015 - CRN, the shipyard specializing in the construction of steel and aluminum pleasure vessels between 50 and 90 metres in length, held a private ceremony to launch its hull No. 134 "ATLANTE", a 55-metre, 5-deck mega yacht that stands out for her very strong, unmistakable personality.

This yacht is the outcome of the outstanding collaboration of design firm Nuvolari Lenard, who pencilled her outer lines as well as several other CRN mega yachts including "Saramour" and "Azteca", and CRN's Engineering Department, which was in charge of naval engineering.

"Launching a new yacht is always a moment of great pride for the entire Shipyard", states CRN's Chairman and CEO Lamberto Tacoli - "as emotions go hand in hand with the satisfaction of knowing that each and every one of our products is going to represent our brand and Made-in-Italy yachting across the world's seas. The ‘ATLANTE' is an extraordinary jewel, very innovative and one of which we can truly be proud. We are deeply grateful to the Owner Company for choosing us to build such an extraordinary yacht; to the design firm Nuvolari Lenard, that through the 'ATLANTE' have once more confirmed their incredible creativity; and to all CRN's workers and subcontractors who were involved in this project from its very beginning to its final completion".

Entirely built in Ancona, this yacht that boasts a 10.5 meter beam and purposely strong stylistic identity, draws inspiration from some elements typical of military crafts: square shapes, sharp lines, and innovative, sophisticated design solutions. These are the distinguishing features of the Ancona-based shipyard's brand-new yacht.

Architect Dan Lenard commented: "We conceived and created this new yacht together with CRN following the requirements of the Owner Company. The outer lines have been developed having in mind a specific final look: aggressive, but at the same time very proportionate. Seen in her entirety, this is a high-impact yacht, whose determined military look becomes soft on the sea. This is why we found some original solutions, such as a non-traditional bow and areas entirely devoted to guests, like the side doors of the main deck that, once the tenders have been launched, can be exploited to the fullest".

The ‘ATLANTE' is equipped with two 1230 KW @ 1800 RPM CATERPILLAR engines that push her to a maximum speed of 15 knots and a cruise of 14 knots.

The motor yacht will now undergo all final fitting-out activities and technical trials before leaving port and cruising in international waters.
