FERRETTI CUSTOM LINE 124 PROJECT: A "NEW WAVE" April 20, 2009

The new Ferretti Custom Line 124' design, expertly created b y Architect Gianni Zuccon Studio Zuccon International Project, together with Ferretti's AYT - Advanced Yacht Technology, marks the launch of a wave of renewal in the yard's history. Ferretti is broadening its horizons while remaining faithful to tradition, with the design of its new planing flagship.

Ferretti Custom Line 124' combines the yard's design and construction experience with a forward-looking philosophy underpinning a harmonious blend of elegance, performance and solutions that are strikingly innovative for craft of this length.

Her exteriors display the light, sleek and elegant lines so typical of Ferretti Custom Line maxi yachts, an effect created by an extensive sweep of windows significantly enlarged using an innovation that is both aesthetic and functional: large glazed side doors in the saloon and fold-down platforms that can create exclusive terraces above the sea. Following the yard's traditions, all the non-structural elements of the interiors can be personalized, and all embody a completely renewed contemporary style emphasizing precious materials high-quality woods, beautiful marble and prized fabrics and leathers combine in an innovative mix that reflects the owner's wishes.

This new 124' offers exceptionally generous spaces, like the cockpit and its large teak table seating 10-12 guests. The salon measures over 50 meters and the absence of supports means there is an uninterrupted view. Light dominates the interiors, flooding in through wide windows and the large glazed side doors, which enhance the feeling of space, creating the impression of unity between interiors and exterior. The doors can be fixed or allowed to open, depending on the layout chosen by the owner, and look onto the main deck walkway, the
location on both sides of the electro-hydraulically operated fold-down platforms that form fully-fledged terraces, providing a unique and exclusive sea view.

Two layouts are available, offering different configurations for the salon living area, depending on whether or not the glass doors are fixed. The first includes two spacious sofas in a double shape, each with coffee table, leaving a central walkway to access the opening glass doors. The second has three sofas arranged in a horseshoe shape with a low table in the center. Both options include a 52" pop-up TV to starboard. The space leads into the dining room with a large square table seating 10-12, made in the owner's choice of wood.

The galley is located amidships, and is equipped with professional-standard appliances. It also provides access to the craft's strategic areas.

The roomy Owner's area lies forward, a very bright space thanks to the wide broadside windows is divided into a working zone with private head and sleeping area, plus a generous bathroom forward with separate services and double shower. The dominant theme here is shaped by the materials chosen by the owner.
