FERRETTI 850 MOTOR YACHT
The stunning Ferretti 850 Flybridge yacht offers the utmost in design, comfort, and performance. With exteriors by Ferretti Group’s Studio Zuccon International Project and technical engineering and interior outfitting by the Group’s Engineering Department, the yacht has a striking and sophisticated profile. Interior natural light is maximized in the customized interior by a single glazed window that spans the entire superstructure and two trapezoidal hull windows with integrated portholes fitted into the hull.
The aft area boasts an innovative mechanism, which opens and folds down the transom door unveiling a spacious, floodable beach area. The cockpit is accessible from both sides and features a multi-purpose sofa, which can be utilized both as a chaise lounge or as seating for al fresco dining. Under the staircase leading to the flybridge, there are multiple storage compartments into which an ice maker and optional mooring controls may be installed. Exterior access to the engine room is via a port side door.
The open salon and dining area are accessed through large glazed sliding doors on the main deck. The furniture and fittings, appointed in collaboration with Italy’s foremost designer, Minotti, redefine the architectural and design ‘language’ of yachting, revealing a living style in line with the latest developments in residential architecture. Nearly full-height glazed surfaces, light pleated curtains, and freestanding furniture add to the inviting contemporary style.
The raised pilothouse, accessed from both the starboard passageway and the central lobby, can also be reached by the captain and crew directly from their own cabins offering privacy for Owners and guests.
Below, the master stateroom was created in collaboration with Minotti, reflecting the style of the main saloon, and features a study area along the sidewall, a large wardrobe, and spacious storage compartments. A partially satin-glazed wall opens to the bathroom with a large shower stall, two washbasins, and a toilette. Behind the suite, the transverse fuel tank and insulated partition serve to minimize noise and vibration from the engine room. Guest accommodations, all with en-suite heads, include two vast VIP double cabins; one on the port side amidships and the other forward. The fourth guest cabin, starboard, is fitted with twin beds. Crew quarters are situated in the extreme bow.
The flybridge is available in two configurations. The shaded area may be extended with a hardtop that stretches towards the stern or with a hardtop that includes a fixed extension and a central sliding awning or glazing.
A second alfresco lounge area is located on the foredeck for relaxing in utmost privacy. Designed to maintain the family feeling, the space is extensive and features a large central sun pad, seating, and a dinette with a height-adjustable table. Upon request, the area can be sheltered with umbrellas and curtains to increase privacy and comfort. The technical mooring equipment is housed separately in the forepeak.
Two options are offered for the MAN engines. Standard is twin V12s with 1800 mph for a cruising speed of 26 knots and a maximum speed of 29 knots. More powerful twin V12 1900 mph engines provide a cruising speed of 27 knots and a maximum speed of 31 knots (preliminary data). Seakeeper active gyro stabilizers or Zero Speed hydraulic stabilizing fins can also be installed upon request.
