PERSHING 70’ 7X SPORT YACHT
General Information
Focused on design, technology, performance, and use of ultra-lightweight materials, the Pershing 7X makes use of the carbon fiber and increases lightness through the furnishings, furniture materials, the use of lightweight alloys, and the installation of lithium batteries rather than traditional ones. The first unit introduces a new color for the hull and superstructure: Alusilver, a custom variant of grey reminiscent of the well-known metals. Also new is the matte black featured on some portions, such as the navigation instrumentation, air vents, and aft moldings.
The sporty exterior zones stand out in both visual and functional terms. The aft central garage can fit a Williams 345 Sportjet tender. Up top, a sun deck can seat up to four people, while the forward area is fitted with a large seat. The cockpit is furnished with an L-shaped sofa and table as well as a sink and, upon request, a grill and ice maker or refrigerator, all protected by the superstructure above. An oversized pad, open to the sun, is aft. Another large sun pad is at bow, adjacent to a chaise lounge for two that faces the sea.
The main deck boasts a 360° view of the sea thanks to the large side windows and glass roof which, together with the fully retractable glass door leading to the lounge, provide visual continuity between the indoor and outdoor areas. In the starboard helm station, a large L-shaped sofa surrounds a table that can be extended to accommodate up to eight diners. Two seats, made of Poltrona Frau “Interior in Motion” leather, are at the helm. The open-plan kitchen on the lower deck features plenty of storage space and a full-height refrigerator.
Introduced for the first time on the Pershing 7X are new portholes in the cabins, that can be fully opened inwards, flooding the rooms with air and natural light. The porthole, measuring 80×30 cm, is in a vertical position in the owner’s suite, aligned with the large windows, and horizontal in the other two cabins.
Accommodations include three cabins: the full-beam owner’s suite amidships, the VIP suite located all the way forward, and the twin-bedded guest suite on the passageway. All have en-suite bathrooms with a separate shower, the guest cabin bathroom doubling as a day head. Accommodations for the crew are located at the aft of the yacht, forward of the engine room and with direct access to the cockpit.
The Pershing 7X is powered with twin MAN V12 diesel engines that generate 1800 hp and are combined with a Top System P85X surface drive transmission with surface propellers. The yacht can reach a top speed of 50 knots and a cruising speed of 42 knots, with a maximum range of 300 nautical miles. Two Seakeeper NG6 gyroscopic stabilizers are fitted on this first unit to ensure maximum comfort while at anchor.
